Toovaa is 9.7 metres in girth and categorized as a Cupressus macrocarpa.
The Sisters (also Macrocarpas) are often visited by passing flocks of Heron, Cockatoos, Magpies and Currawongs, but in this photo it is a family of White Egrets.
These old eucalypts (a mere 5 metres round) were part of a stand but their siblings were cut down by the neighbour.
(In the spring of 2012 we were bought an orphaned Grey Currawong. Her early days with us are in older posts.) Sirius gradually spent more hours away from home. The video below was taken the last time we saw her before she left home permanently. Many weeks later in the early autumn she returned with 6 other of her kind and spent 2 weeks near and around our orchard. The first day she landed on the railing and looked in through the window for some minutes before leaping into the air and returning to her avion family.
